Natalie's Review

Perrin & Fils L'andéol Grenache Syrah 2008, A.C., Rasteau, Côtes Du Rhone-Villages, France: Vintages Wine Panel: A blend of approximately 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. The Perrins want to let the bright fruit flavours and aromas in the wine come through, so they give only about 20% of the wines any oak treatment. Fresh cherry, pepper and blackberry aromas dominate. Clean and flavourful, this vibrant wine can be aged 2-3 years, but is designed for current consumption. My note: Savoury, dark and delicious with aromas of cedar, black cherry and black plum. Smooth and ready to drink now, though it’ll also do well in the cellar. Drink: 2011-2016.  976845  13.50%  XD  750 mL  $19.95  Score: 91/100. April 16, 2011  Full Review
