Natalie's Review

Jardin Barrel Fermented Chardonnay 2007, W.O., Stellenbosch, South Africa: Vintages Wine Panel: This well-known winery’s name is ‘Jordan’ in South Africa and other markets, but for trademark reasons it is known as Jardin in North America. The 2008 vintage in South Africa was a pleasingly moderate one with a near-perfect balance of heat, cool, sun and rain. The wines, such as this Chardonnay, featured great harmony between the fruit, oak and acid. Enjoy this lively and persistent wine. My note: Love it! Buttery but not heavy: rich aromas of ripe fleshy pears, peaches, honeysuckle and hazel nuts. 663336 14% D 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 90/100. August 19, 2008  Full Review
