Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Sangiovese 2006, I.G.T., Toscana, Tuscany, Estate Btld., Italy: A blend of 45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Sangiovese grapes. A substantial wine with a core of pure dark fruit extraction: think black plums, kirsch, blackcurrant and blueberries. There a tarry richness with dark spices, smoke and anise on the palate. Great balance and length in this full-bodied red. Drink: 2011-2025. 72439 13% XD 750 mL $67.95 Score: 93/100. March 28, 2009 Full Review
