Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

So elegant, charactful and, yes indeed, made for the beach. And, from the view on wine bottle’s label, as well as the scantily clad angel (actually, she’s only wearing wings) it looks like she is reclining on Vancouver’s Wreck Beach. Very cheeky ;)

But about the wine! Blasted Church Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2019 Beach Please is fresh and fragrant with subtle white florals, apple blossom, grassy, fine herb, soft citrus and dried pineapple aromas with a mineral vein from beginning to end. Dry, medium-bodied with medium-plus-acidity and medium intensity flavours, mouth coating with fresh apple, Anjou pear, fine herb, lemon zest, tropical fruit zesty and lingering with a crisp mineral finish.

Beautifully crafted and balanced, the winery’s estate grown Sauvignon Blanc was harvested in two separate tries, the first was mid-September and whole cluster pressed prior to being racked to a variety of previous use French oak barrels for fermentation and several months of lees ageing. The second pick was on September 19 with grapes destemmed prior to being pressed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks. For this vintage, the winery was also able to obtain Sauvignon Blanc, harvested on September 20 and Semillon, harvested on October 9, from the Sitrus Hill Vineyard on the Northern shores of Osoyoos Lake. Of the overall blend, 40% was barrel-fermented and aged in French oak barrels for seven months prior to the final blend and bottling. Tasted March 2022.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
