A delicious layered wine from the Niagara-on-the-Lake region. 2017 had ideal growing conditions and this wine is a great example of Ontario Cabernet Sauvignon done well. Opaque, deep purple in colour with aromas of smoke, leather and dark fruit. Flavours of blackberry and cassis with smooth tannins and soft acidity. 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/l sugar this is a dry red from our own backyard (Ontario) that would give most California Cabs a run for their money. Pick up a bottle for your next bbq and throw some steaks on the grill. Tasted May 23/2020

Aromas include red currant, blackberry, smoky tobacco, warm spice, and leather. Full bodied on the palate, with medium+ acidity, and young, grippy tannins. Fruit on the palate includes ripe berry, and lots of oak, tobacco, and smoky notes on the finish. Decant for 45 minutes and enjoy with prime rib.
