Jane Staples rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A smooth and elegant Amarone from Italy's Veneto D.O.C. Crafted using indigenous varietals from the Vallpolicella Classica region; Corvina, Rondinella, Molinera as well as Oseleta. Gives aromatic notes of cherry, plum, cloves, cinnamon, bitter chocolate and vanilla along with cedar and forest floor. Full-bodied with satiny texture and soft tannins, well-structured and balanced. You'll fall in love with this Amarone!
Enjoy with fall roast venison or leg of lamb. Look for it in Vintages in the October 12 Release, just in time for Thanksgiving dinner!

Natalie's Review

Masi Riserva di Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2013, Veneto D.O.C.G., Italy: Lush and modern Amarone, smoky and juicy with ripe dark fruit, liquid black cherry, cedar underbrush, spice cake, espresso coffee flavours, toasty on the palate. Produced by Sandro Boscaini. Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta wine grapes spend a long time drying on bamboo racks and the blended wine is matured for three years or more in oak casks. Pair with prime rib. Drink: 2019-2028. 324137 15% D 750 mL  $79.95 Score: 95/100. November 3, 2020 Top Rated Red Wine. Luscious Lamb Wine  Full Review

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
