Australian in some ways - other ways not. Big powerful fruit driven nose and palate - Australian. Quite dry with more complexity on the palate - not so Australian. Does a nice dance. You could age this one 1-2 years with no risk.

Grant Burge Filsell Shiraz 2015, Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia: Dark, blackened, charry fruit and toasted oak on the nose and palate of this huge Australian Shiraz. The wine was fermented in both oak and tanks then aged for 21 months in 30% new oak, with the balanced being second use barrels. These 100-year-old vines concentrate flavours. Pair with a rare steak.
