Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Cedarcreek Estate Winery’s 2014 Platinum “Block 2” is made from 100% Pinot Noir from a single vineyard. The Pinot Noir vines from Block 2 are 22 years of age with grapes cropped to one cluster per shoot giving them the greatest chance of producing optimal yields of quality fruit. This PN is softly floral with light spice, dried herbs and vanilla aromas on the nose. Dry, medium-bodied and very comfortable on the mid-palate with ripe red berry and blueberry flavours, it is elegant and polished in its balance of sweet cake spice, savoury herbs, white pepper and a lingering vanilla spice finish. Oak is well-integrated; tannins are soft and rounded. Drinking lovely now, chill slightly and pour with a rabbit fricassee and a wild mushroom and leek risotto.

The 2014 vintage was awarded Silver in the 2016 National Wine Awards of Canada; Silver in the 2016 and 2017 Okanagan Fall Wine Festival, BC Wine Awards, as well as Silver in the 2017 International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
