Lots of apple here, along with pear, stone fruit and citrus blossom. Great with fish on the grill. 90 Points.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A big-boned wine with a solid structure. Huge flinty nose, big minerality, ripe guava, ripe stone fruit. Rich, oily mouthfeel and full-bodied. Paired well with a rich and creamy seafood casserole. Tasted the 2016 vintage in March 2018. Enjoyed now, and will benefit from a couple years laying down to better integrate the heavy flint minerality. 91 points
Monique Sosa reviewed this wine as follows:

Beguiling billowing buttered popcorn aromas at first glance followed by prominent flinty mineral aromas. Flavours showcase beautifully layered baked apple, buttered toast, and mild baking spice notes. The palate is rich and lavish with a buttery mouthwatering acidity, and a long spiced apple hazelnut briche note. Enjoy this amazing full-bodied New Zealand Chardonnay with Halibut Thai green curry. Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

If you like buttered popcorn, you’ll love this Chardonnay.…
Presentation: Looks like it comes from a coastal region with its nautical, artistic and yet serious label
Appearance: Medium gold
Nose: Pronounced nose with notes of buttered popcorn kernels from the bottom of the movie theatre bag
Taste: Dry, full body, medium-high acidity, low tannins, lots of buttered popcorn with a hint of lemon rind
Finish: long popcorn finish
Overall impression: This is a rich New World Chardonnay. If you like buttered popcorn, you’ll love this wine.
Value: 3/5
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Oak and apple notes with some buttery honey on the palate. Classic New Zealand Chardonnay that will pair with roast chicken or shrimp scampi. Tasted March 2018.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots of classic Chardonnay aromas, including golden apple, pear, honey, oak and warm spice. Flavours are full and warm, with a nice acidity to balance and brighten. Perfect wine for roasted chicken with herbs.
