On the nose, this full-bodied Red has earthy beet aromas as well as dark berries, cinnamon, pot-pourri, and cedar.

It has dark berry flavours, mostly blueberries, and a slightly bitter cocoa finish. The tannins are structured and the flavours linger. Overall, an enjoyable wine!

A beautifully representative Corbières framing spicy grenache and syrah with an abundance of local garrigue. Cracked black pepper is most dominant on the nose. Rich and savory, full-bodied with a little creaminess at the back end. An impressive value. Tasted January 2018.

Château De Tréviac 2015, Corbières, Midi A.P., France: A savoury and juicy southern French red wine. Love the smoky character of this wine. Corbieres is an under-appreciated region. A luscious, smoky, full-bodied blend of Syrah and Grenache grapes, at a terrific price. Black pepper and fleshy black plum aromas. Velvet texture. Awesome! The southern French region of Corbières is often underestimated, and yet it's capable of producing blockbuster reds like this one. Usually Carignane is part of the blend, but not in this case.
