Lise Charest Gagne rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Concentrated deep rich purple Marechal Foch goodness. If you haven't tried this variety you really should. Foch is a French hybrid grape and this is a great example of full body without high alcohol burn. On the nose, rich slightly sweet red fruit, earth, minerals and some sort of rustic cabin smell (in a good way). This beauty was crafted by SS fermentation, then 90% American Oak (two fifths were new) and the rest was French oak. Malo fermentation and 18 months in barrels. I taste bright red fruit (field berries and ripe cherries), something rich like dark chocolate. It's not sweet or jammy it's bright yet rich. Finishes long and complex with some interesting herb notes. It's a big wine for rare steak, the acidity will cut nicely through some richer cuts. Love the low alcohol at 12%. Bravo Malivoire and the staff on this one. These are the oldest vines Malivoire has.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
