Jane Staples rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A Bordeaux-style blend of Cab Sauv, Merlot, Cab Franc, Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot (yes, 2% makes a difference!). So well-made you can actually taste each varietal. Complex and layered, with delicious nuances of cherry, boysenberry, caramel, mocha and cinnamon. Polished tannins, silky mouthfeel and elegant finish. Wow!

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

I can't say enough about this Bordeaux style wine from Washington State. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, (60%) Merlot (30%) and Malbec and Petite Verdot. Head Winemaker Bob Bertheau says this wine appeals to his personal palate.

Fourteen years from inception this wine is entering its prime with at least another 6-8 years of life yet. Excellent structure, balanced and elegant. On the nose the dark fruit has receded somewhat over the years but is still evident. Layers of smoke, vanilla, spice, mocha and dark chocolate have evolved. A rich mouthfeel with supple tannins. Like the stars - all the elements have aligned!

I think its safe to say this is a wine that also appeals to my palate. I've ordered 3 bottles that I plan to drink for special occasions (or not!) over the next few years.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
