This sangiovese/cabernet sauvignon mix is medium weight, somewhat lively on the palate. Clean and smooth. There is a hint of sourness on the finish.

Umberto Cesari Liano Sangiovese Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Emilia-Romagna, Rubicone I.G.T., Italy: Mocha and sweet chocolate and coffee-espresso on the nose from lavish oak aging. Black fruit on the palate of this Italian red wine. Full-bodied and smooth and delicious. This wine previously won a Gold Medal at the Sélections Mondiales des Vins in Montreal. Try with hamburgers and all the fixins. The Umberto Cesari winery celebrates its 5-year anniversary in 2016 for being named Italian Winery of the Year at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in London.
