Ruby-garnet. A fine dusty Southern Rhône style red from BC’s Okanagan Falls. Palate plum full of dark ripe plum, minerality, leather, wild berry. Full bodied, medium plus acidity, medium fine tannins. Decanted 2h. Pairs with a solid burger, spicy beef samosas, beef pot pie. Tasted 2014 vintage in July 2018. 92 points

The Pull is 40% Merlot that was cropped at 5 tons per acre but the grapes were lovingly hand sorted by the winemaking team. The rest of the Saint-Émilion style blend is Cabernet Sauvignon (28%), Petit Verdot (17%), Cabernet Franc (8%) and Malbec (7%).The Merlot provides very soft, enjoyable tannins with nice acidity. Fruit for our red blend comes from Osoyoos and Naramata. The 2014 vintage is a rich wine, aged 19 months in 40% new and 60% neutral French oak. It has an intense nose of black cherry, plum, blackberry and baking spice with hints of leather and tobacco.The concept behind the name is that “the pull” of wine overcame Rob’s nagging doubts about getting into the business.

Nagging Doubt The Pull 2014, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia V.Q.A., Canada: A spectacular blend of 40% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon 17% Petit Verdot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 7% Malbec grapes. Aromas of fleshy black plum, toasty oak and spice. The fruit is grown in Osoyoos and Naramata. The wine was aged 18 months in oak barrels. The winery name is a nod to the fact that “the pull” of wine overcame winemaker Rob’s nagging doubt about getting into the winemaking business. Decant 1 hour and pair with a rare steak.
