What a promising Spanish red! This wine is an enticing blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes showcasing sweet and savoury characteristic. The nose shows pronounced aromas of ripe berries, plum, vanilla, dates, and licorice. The palate is a burst of licorice, black plum, vanilla, dark chocolate. Tannins are mature and smooth, acidity is well-balanced (med+), and the finish is long with note dried druit notes, licorice and a satin mouthfeel. This med-full bodied gem of a wine is a steal! A perfumed nose offers ripe dark fruit, vanilla and floral violet, while the complex palate gives dark fruit, vanilla, spices and oak in a supple, smooth mouthfeel with great acidity. Versatile for barbeque or grilled lamb chops and hard cheeses. Terrific value at $16.95
