Full-bodied, a little rough around the edges, but thoroughly enjoyable with a charcuterie plate. Black cherry, leather, woodsy notes predominate. Quite respectable at this price point.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a smooth full bodied red with velvety tannins and lots of ripe fruit. Aromas of blackberry and leather, with a touch of vanilla. A great priced wine for a summer bbq with a crowd! Share it with your family and friends.
Nick Onischuk rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The Peninsula Ridge Cabernet Merlot 2013 is a good value wine. Dark cherry, dark berry fruit, earthiness and pepper. Tasted January 31, 2016 (88/100)
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Smoky dart fruit, cedar, and touch of pepper on the nose and palate. A great wine to enjoy with full flavoured BBQ fare and at under $15, this offers great value making it a top choice for pouring with large gatherings or on Tuesday evenings when you just need a glass of great wine! Tasted January 2016. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
