Monique Sosa rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

An exquisite “Super Tuscan blend” of Sangiovese, Alicante and Bordeaux varietals hailing from Maremma Toscana where bliss rolling hills meet the Mediterranean coast. Aromas show prominent black plum, cassis and leather notes followed by earthy rustic leather, tobacco, cocoa and stewed plum flavours. Acidity is juicy and tangy folowwby a long licorice flavoured finish. Enjoy with braised beef ragout. Tasted Dec 2017 by @sommsosa / bespoketastings.ca
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Stewed black fruit, leather and tobacco notes. Jammy blackberry notes on the palate leads into medium tannins. Would pair great with a grilled steak. Tasted November 2017.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Tasted at 12 years since vintage. Huge aromatics of sweet roasted beets and graphite minerality. Deep dark and concentrated. Intensely structured with interwoven flavours and textures. Big smooth tannins. Big acidity, mouthwatering and juicy. Dry. What a treat to taste at this stage in this wines evolution. Pair with a Florentine steak, braised beef lasagna, spaghetti bolognese or a tomato based ragu. Tasted 2005 vintage after decanting 2h in Nov 2017. 93 points. Enjoy soon.
Alex & Priya rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Alex: This wine has sweet vanilla and milk chocolate wrapping a ripe nose of sweet, dusty red currant and pomegranate juice, with some herbaceous flecks of oregano and bay leaf. The palate contains dusty tannin that is near resolved, a saline touch, with herbs and drying fruit. Reasonable concentration and length, a decent example of off-the-beaten-track aged Tuscan wine that is ready right now. 86 pts

Natalie's Review

Poggio Verrano Dròmos Francesco Bolla 2005, Maremma, Tuscany I.G.T., Italy: What a beautiful and artistic expression of the Maremma region in the heart of Tuscany! This red wine blend is extraordinary on length, depth, complexity and flavour. This will do well in the cellar, but it's also drinking nicely now. I know that I can't wait ;) Pair with hearty meat dishes and sauces. Drink: 2014-2019. 107383 14% XD 750 mL  $39.95 Score: 94/100. November 14, 2015 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine  Full Review
