Matt Steeves rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Featherstone's Canadian Oak Chardonnay proudly uses locally grown 'Canadian' oak in the oak barrels that this creamy Chardonnay was fermented in. Don't confuse this cool-climate Chardonnay with a Sonoma County (California) Chardonnay, despite its richness, as this hand-picked local-everything Chardonnay is purely Ontario-grown and a great expression of a richly oaked Chardonnay, if that style is up your alley check it out. Sweet orchard and tropical fruits, with pineapple and spicy vanilla persisting on the creamy finish. Enjoy served ice-cold on a patio, with peaches and cream Ontario corn, or with creamy autumn harvest soups. Enjoy 2016 - 2018. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Wineboy rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

When the label highlights the oak in the wine, so should the wine - and it does. almost powerful oak (Oh Canada) in the form of more vanilla notes. The tree fruits are more visible on the palate, but remain in the background. Recommended for oak lovers.

Natalie's Review

Featherstone Canadian Oak Chardonnay 2013, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Fresh and full-bodied Niagara Chardonnay that was aged uniquely in Canadian oak barrels. The wine was fermented with wild airborne yeasts and then the wine was aged in oak barrels made from trees that grow near the winery. Notes of green apples and smoke. Pair with roasted chicken. Drink: 2014-2018. 149302 13.50% XD 750 mL  $21.95 Score: 87/100. May 20, 2015 Profound Pasta and Cream Sauce Wine  Full Review
