Somewhat subtle aromas of blackberry, mint, and smoke. The taste follows and is well supported by some big tannins that will age very nicely, making this wine even better in five years. With its big taste and bright acidity it's perfect for rare steaks right now as well, but decant it for a couple of hours first.

it's tried and true, and it rarely disappoints, unless of course you're looking for something that is not a Napa Valley cab sauv in the $40 range. big, bold and bright on the nose with loads of new oak influence; red and black berry fruit with slightly creamy and vanilla bean notes. Sweet fruit mingles with toasty new oak, nice ripe tannins and good balance. like comfort food, very satisfying. best with grilled or roasted meats, dry cheeses, the darkest chocolate, dried fruits and nuts.

Wow, this a great example of what Napa Valley does best, a full-bodied rich Cabernet Sauvignon with layers of complexities and aromas. It is a full-bodied, silky mouth feel with lots of alcohol and tannins. Great food wine.

The 2012 vintage William Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is produced solely from fruit from the South-Eastern slope of the prestigious Napa Valley Silverado Bench and is 14.8% ABV. This inky deep red is richly opaque in colour density as well as packed with aromatics and flavours. Once unleashed from the bottle, this wine shows supple red fruit and a hint of leather, slight minerality, rich tannins, full-bodied, medium acidity and well balanced. This wine is an ideal companion for dry-rubbed ribs, spaghetti with herbed meatballs, or vegetarian option of sweet and saucy vegaterian lasagna. Persistence of red berries and leather, medium finish. Enjoy window from 2015-2022.

A wonderful example of why so many, including myself, enjoy the beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon wines that Napa is renowned for. Deep and intriguing ruby red colour, the nose shows beautiful layers of dark fruits, black cherry, roasted peppers, dark chocolate, and vanilla. The palate is rich and creamy with layer upon layer of delicious dark fruit all wrapped-up with a modest amount of sweet vanilla that’s backed by great acidity and super fine tannins. Smoky dark fruit and eucalyptus play beautifully together with a generous dose of black pepper on the palate. Confident tannins, balanced acidity and a lingering pepper finish make this a great pairing for red meat dishes.

Inky dark red/purple - cassis, smoke, herb, cedar, beef broth on the nose. Rich, dense, full bodied with ripe plummy fruit, black cherry, currant, graphite and dried herb. Silky texture, fine drying tannins coat the mouth waiting for the finish. This should keep for 10+ years in the cellar. Good value in the context of Napa Cabs. Tasted April 2015

Thoroughly enjoyed this full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the prestigious Silverado Bench in Napa, California. Intense aromas of dark berries, plum, dark cherry, vanilla, leather and warm spices. The palate is velvet with supple black fruit repeated with additions of cedar, toast, caramel, toffee and vanilla. Acidity is bright and balances all the nuances in this superbly crafted wine. Fine cuts of beef, or fireside sipping. Your choice.
