Courtney Flood rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Plush cherry, raspberry and blackberry with distinct violet undertones. Rich berry, milk chocolate flavor with a long smokey finish.

Yes, I love Chateauneuf de Pape too. I don't tend to pair these fancy wines with food. Just enjoy them!
rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Who can argue about this Chateauneuf du Pape? Delicious aromas of lush red berries, blueberries, anise, dried herbs and a slight minerality. On the palate this wine is velvety smooth with some spice (pepper). Well integrated and a long dry finish. Savour this wine on its own.
Alex & Priya rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Alex: Lots of dried herbs and stony mineralogy on display, with a characteristic bowl of berry fruit. Deep and complex on the palate, with a mineral wall, and excellent acidity to back it. Spicy, herbal tinges on the finish, little noticeable wood and firm sinewy tannin. Very good entry-priced Chateauneuf. 91pts

Priya: Now Chateauneuf is a wine I can get behind. It's got enough fruit to draw me in, but is drier than the type of reds I would normally be drawn to. It's a bit spicy on the palate as Alex has noted, but I like that. It warms my throat and makes me think of how lovely this would be with friends on a cold and wintry evening. 89pts
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lots on the nose on this. Red berry, blueberry, currant, smoke, leather and cedar. Medium bodied, nice and bright acidity. Lots of cherry and some pepper on the palate. Also getting some anise on the palate. Nice long finish. Really lovely, enjoy with a long lingering meal, maybe a prime rib.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Elegant nose of ripe red berries and touch of smoke on this extra-dry Complex, layered, full-bodied palate with raspberries, dried herbs and smoke. Elegant finish; a wine to savour slowly.

Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A nice blend of leather and sweet notes…
Presentation: Classic with a twist, nice
Appearance: Medium-dark ruby red
Nose: Cigar box, leather, mocha, nice
Taste: Round, leather, cigar box, caramel, mocha (a sweetness in the back)
Finish: Strong pepper initially but it peters out a little
Overall impression: A nice Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Can be appreciated with strong cheese, dark chocolate or meat-based dishes
Value: 2.5/5
Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A lighter CDP but with beautiful complexity. Smooth and with a touch of oak to accent.
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Bright garnet seduction in the glass! Black pepper, dark plums, blueberry and black licorice. A luxurious mouth feel, with satiny tannins and perfect acidity. A lasting warm plum finish. A beautiful expression of Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Tasted 3 April 2016.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Inhale, inhale, inhale. Beautiful nose on this blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre. Smokey, cassis, blackberry, dark cherries, chocolate...and the list goes on. Medium-full body with lots of fruit and a long finish. This is a food wine - with oh so many possible pairings; beef, pork, braised dishes, roasted chicken... and the list goes on. Bring it out for a dinner party and impress your guests! Tasted April 3/2016
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

First aromas of dark fruit are wonderful! Opens up well to release smoke and spice. Full mouth feel and generous dark cherry, blackberry and blackberry. Well balanced, rich and lovely long lasting fruity finish. Would enjoy this with mushroom risotto.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Very fragrant, loaded with plum, blueberry, cassis, cherry, blackberry, and baking spices. The taste is mainly blueberry and cassis with very silky mouth-feel. Very fruit forward, but extremely balanced, A perfect wine for hearty stews.

Natalie's Review

Château Mont-Redon 2011, Châteauneuf-Du-Pape, Rhône A.C., France: A full-bodied, complex and concentrated Rhone red wine with aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, spice and smoke. Love that this is so balanced and doesn't taste like the hefty 14.5% alcohol that it is. Don't get me wrong, this is full-bodied juice, but it's gloriously rich not overwhelming.
