This grape varietal was developed by a professor at University of California - Davis. It's aromatic like a moscato with predominant aromas of lychee and white floral. Although it is off-dry (at the California Wine Fair I was told it had 17 residual sugar/litre but the LCBO notes put it at 21) it is has enough acidity to make it a pleasant wine for sipping on a summer afternoon or to accompany a spicy curry.

Ironstone's Symphony is quite floral in nature with rose oil and peony and a strong sense of yellow delicious apple. It is has a distinctive perfume quality and the fruit is one dimensional. Semi-sweet on the palate with good but flat acidity. A good overall mouth feel, would be great with crab cakes and medium fish options. Could also balance out some spicier condiments.
