A dark garnet blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, offering the fragrances of ripe dark berries and chocolate, vanilla and oak. The palate adds a hint of mint and cloves. Velvety mouthfeel and long ripe fruit mocha finish. Excellent VPB at $18.95! This wine won Gold at the Paris Concours General Agricole in 2011.
Château Le Bourdillot Meritage 2009, Graves, Bordeaux A.C., France: Absolute wow for the money! Here's Bordeaux at a fraction of the price. This blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes has the signature plumpness of Merlot in the lead, more accessible than savage Cabernet and easier to drink sooner. Decant 2 hours and enjoy with meat sauces. Drink: 2015-2019. 365908 13.50% XD 750 mL $18.95 Score: 88/100. April 26, 2014 Best Value Red Wine. Magnificent Meat Pizza Wine Full Review
