Layered with flavours of cranberry, raspberry and baking spice, this well balanced Pinot offers approachable tannins and a smooth texture. Devine with duck confit. Enjoy through 2021.Tasted Oct 2014.
Decoy Pinot Noir 2012, Sonoma County, California, United States: The much-respected Californian winery Duckhorn Vineyards produces this second label Pinot Noir that that is very good quality for the money. The Decoy range of wines, now in their 20th year, offers fleshy cherry-berry aromas right out of the glass -- it pulls you in. Full-bodied, round and rollicking with good natured ripe fruit, spices and cedarwood smoke. Mouth-watering yet it finishes long and elegant. A good decoy indeed. Highly recommended.
