Doluca is one of the oldest and largest wineries in Turkey, with their history spanning three generations. The DLC range is an affordable mixture of both native grape varieties and international favourites. This Grenache is a deep purple full of dark fruit aromas like plums, raisins and blackberries. On the palate some cedar, and eucalyptus notes come in to balance the fruit. The tannins are quite soft for this full bodied wine so I enjoyed it with Lachmajun. A local favourite that is fresh pita bread topped with a groundbeef, parsley and tomato mixture. The Grenache didn't overpower the herbs, and still managed to bring out the richness of the ground beef
