This Brunello is a beautiful combination of what you want/expect from an Old World wine and a New World wine. The nose is all fruit and bright red cherries like New World wines but on the palate this Brunello is all Old World with notes of earth, smoke and a fantastic richness. Italian wines are easy to pair with because Italian food was made to match their wines, my favourite is Margherita Pizza. If you are going to buy a Sangiovese spend a little extra and get a Brunello, you won't regret it!
