Cabriz Reserva Dão Sul - Soc. Vitivini. Touriga Nacional Tinta Roriz Alfrocheiro Preto 2007, D.O.C., Dão, Portugal: Vintages Wine Panel: From the Dão region, this dry wine is made using some of the grapes normally associated with Port, namely Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, plus Alfrocheiro Preto. It has a lovely nose of spicy berry-fruit and light leather, followed by aromas and flavours of blackcurrant, ripe cherry, black licorice, vanilla and woodspice. There’s good length to this medium-full-bodied red. My note: Big juicy New World style red with lusciously ripe aromas of fleshy berries and purple plums. If you like Australian shiraz, you’ll love this. Some smoke and spice to finish. Drink: 2010-2013. 21410 13.50% D 750 mL $16.95 Score: 89/100. October 30, 2010 Full Review
