The 2007 Merlot reveals a nose of balsam wood, pencil lead, scorched earth, and blackcurrant. On the palate, mineral and earth notes make an appearance. Concentrated but with a bit of rustic tannin, this lengthy Merlot will profit from 2-3 years of additional bottle age and drink well from 2011 to 2019. Score - 90.
