Wayne Gretzky No. 99 Estate Series Pinot Noir 2008, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: Aromas of black cherry, pine needles, spice box. In fact, it smells like Christmas. Dry, very flavourful with good intensity. This very elegant wine is given excellent structure by the moderate tannins and just-right acidity. Medium bodied with a long fruit/tannin finish. Give it 1-3 years in a cellar and then enjoy it for 5+ years. It may be enjoyed tonight. My note: A sweet cherry-cranberry liqueur nose with good mouth-watering acidity. Silky smooth and mouth-filling red berry flavours. Drink: 2011-2015. 129056 12.50% XD 750 mL $18.95 Score: 88/100.
