Full-bodied and delicious! For those who love full-throttle Californian chardonnay: toasty oak, butterscotch, vibrant green apple and peach notes. Ridge has been producing Chardonnay since 1962 and it shows. The fruit for this wine is hand-picked from the Monte Bello Vineyard and whole-cluster pressed. The winery uses natural yeasts and then the wine is matured for about a year in oak barrels. This chardonnay will do well in the cellar, but why wait? Chardonnay food pairings: prawn bisque, chicken breast, frittata, cheese fondue, turkey, grilled lobster tail, planked salmon. Enchanting Feta Cheese Wine

Iconic winery Ridge brings the flavour with this layered beauty: juicy pineapple, peach, melon, golden russet apple, coconut oil and vanilla. There’s plenty of heft, though it’s perfectly restrained to keep its elegance and freshness. Tropical fruit and coconut oil really shine on the palate, lingering tantalizingly on the lengthy finish. Has the stuff to cellar for 4-5 years, though it’s beautiful now. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, May 2013
