Grassy goodness wrapped in citrus zest and refreshment! This is quintessentially Canadian Sauvignon Blanc, and a benchmark one at that. Lovely mouth-watering layers of flavour.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: summer salads, chicken salad, lobster chowder, vegetarian dishes.

The 2009 Vintners Private Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is our first Sauvignon Blanc to be designated as a Vintners Private Reserve. A designation given to specially selected wines of remarkable vintages. Jamie had this to say about the 2009 Vintage: “The long, cool summer and fall of 2009 made for a gorgeous year to produce white wines. The grapes had thick skins, lots of flavour and aromas. Absolutley wonderful.” This wine is a blend of five vineyards. The Lepp, McNally and Wismer Vineyards are names already familiar to customers. Local vineyards new to Peninsula Ridge in the blend are the Koscis and Lowry vineyards. Long, slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks with weekly lees stirring. This wine was aged sur lies in French and American oak barrels for 4 months to magnify fruit and to lengthen the pallet.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
