|Spain’s native Verdejo grape was once thought to be the same grape as Verdelho, which is prominent in Madeira and Portugal. This was proved untrue by DNA profiling, yet what both grapes do share is a knack for creating vivacious wines with fresh herbal qualities. In its traditional home of Spain’s Rueda region, the wine often takes on subtle woodsy pine-needle and nutty notes. Try this striking, beautifully presented version. Source: Vintages Panel|
