Natalie's Score: 88/100

An excellent price for this zesty and refreshing Italian sparkling wine! Lime-grapefruit notes with a clean, dry finish. Crisp Meyer lemon on the finish. Terrific as an aperitif or companion to shellfish. The La Marca Prosecco is made from Glera grapes and offers great value in the sparkling wine category. Pair with shellfish and fried foods.

Prosecco food pairings: salad, cheese, poultry, pasta with cheese-based sauce, seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Brilliant pale lemon with persistent full bubbles. The nose brings citrus, zest, honeycomb, floral, biscuit. The palate is fresh and clean awash with grapefruit, sour apple, toast, saline and sweet honey back end. The length is medium on a crisp finish. Good value bubbly.
Enjoy as a toast or with Asian food, spicy food, English fish and chips.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
