Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

It's easy to become obsessed with Ironstone Vineyards' Obsession Symphony (2016). The palest of yellow in the glass, this 85% Symphony, 10% Orange Muscat and 5% Chenin Blanc white wine blend is even delicious on the nose with its floral bouquet of gardenia, honeysuckle and jasmine. It's like walking into a warm, summer country garden. On the palate, this wine is off-dry, with exotic white florals, ripe peach, tropical fruit and ginger notes that are lingering but not heavy and finishes crisp and clean with soft orange citrus.

The Symphony wine grape is a cross between the Muscat of Alexandria and Grenache Gris wine grapes and was created at UC Davis by Dr. Harold Olmo in 1948 . Grapes for this flavoursome white wine were sourced from the Lodi wine region.

At 12% abv, this is an easy wine to chill and enjoy on its own or with a prosciutto and cantaloupe appetizer, but has enough sweetness and structure to handle mild to hot curry dishes.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
