From Hemel En Aarde Valley wine region, Hamilton Russell 2022 Chardonnay is the winery's flagship Chardonnay. A beautiful, rich Chardonnay, full-bodied with layers of ripe pear, apple, yellow plum, lemon curd, toasted nut flavours and smoky, briny mineral notes elegant and beautifully balanced with fresh acidity on the palate. Drink through 2030. This Chardonnay was barrel-fermented with most of the wine aged for nine months in French oak barrels with the remaining 10% aged in large foudres and stainless steel and ceramic eggs. Grapes are sourced from vineyards that are two kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean's Walker Bay, with the cooling influence of the cold Benguela current flowing up from Antarctica and the prevailing southeast winds allowing for cooler days but warmer nights as well as moderate winters for an overall Mediterranean climate.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
