Flagstone Winery Sauvignon Blanc 2008
Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 5, February 26, September 11 and July 26.
Flagstone Winery Sauvignon Blanc 2008 Wine Review
Herbal, grassy goodness in this lovely and refreshing South African Sauvignon Blanc. Notes of lime, green apples and lemongrass. Zesty with mouth-watering acidity and no discernible trace of oak. 4.4/5 Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: vegetarian dishes, quiche, salads, shellfish, grilled vegetables.

|Free Run Sauvignon Blanc is made from the juice that runs freely from the press, not the hard pressings. This technique enhances the elegant, balanced character that is inherently found in the grapes that grow at the cool southern tip of Africa, near a village called Elim.|
