Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This Carneros Chardonnay has ripe tropical flavours of pineapple, papaya, with delicate flora and creamy notes with slight smokiness. This round and refreshing wine's flavours last on the rich, warming, complex, finish.
Pair with seafood chowder, charcuterie and pungent cheeses, or savour on its own.
Drink now or cellar until 2019.
Date tasted: October 2014.
The grapes for this benchmark Californian Chardonnay are grown on the winery's estate. The wine is then barrel fermented and aged for eight months in small oak barrels, of which 25% new. Two thirds of the wine underwent a malolactic fermentation to soften the wine's acidity and lend extra creaminess. - Community Wine Reviews
