Natalie's Score: 90/100

Medium sweetness, good body with lots of lychee and spice flavour. Full-bodied, ultra-dry and ready to take on very spicy dishes. This boutique winery is family-owned and has been making wine for seven generations. Gorgeous notes of spiced apricot and peach on a long finish. This would be divine on movie night with spicy Doritos.

Gewurztraminer food pairings: moderately spicy Thai dishes, Indian dishes.

Spectacular Spicy Wine

Delectable notions of white roses, candied ginger and grapefruit peel, white pepper and lychee. Nice echoes on the palate, with a pleasing sweetness counterpointed by spicy and savoury notes. Serve nicely chilled. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, June 2013
