Fall & Winter Chili
Fall/Winter Chili
1 lbs of ground Turkey or lean ground beef
2 tablespoons of extra virgin Olive oil
1 sweet onion, minced
6 vine ripe tomatoes diced
2 cups of tomato sauce
2 16 oz cans of dark red kidney beans
1 tablespoon of garlic
½ cup of Ketchup (optional)
2 bay leaves
½ teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon of oregano
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Heat the olive oil in a deep pan and add the turkey or hamburger, garlic and onion and cook over medium heat until done. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer over low heat for twenty minutes. Serve.
