Deborah Podurgiel rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Cabernet Franc typically sits in the shadows of its older brother, Cabernet Sauvignon. But, I think Cabernet Franc is finally coming of age in some vineyards, with several, savvy winemakers. One of these is the Kacaba 2010 Reserve Cabernet Franc. Just a beautiful, deep dark, velvety, ruby red Cabernet Franc. The nose is full on blackberry, cassis, sweet, cured tobacco, chocolate, coffee and sweet spice. On the palate it is dry, rich with blackberry fruit and cassis, espresso-mocha, long on the sweet spice and, tannins, while grippy, are not difficult to handle (barrel-aged 16 months), but will also mellow with age until 2018. Very luscious and long on the finish -- just a mouthful of fruit that keeps on going, this Cab Franc is a well-structured, beautifully crafted wine. The wine, at 14.5% abv is not hot and alcoholic (as one might think), in fact, it is quite smooth. You can certainly have this wine with anything you may put on the barbie, but to do it justice, I recommend a PEI Prime Rib or Angus tenderloin accompanied with some wild mushrooms (Morels come to mind) sauteed in a bit of butter and the same wine to bring it altogether. Happy Canada Day! with this incredible Canadian Cabernet Franc. Cheers.
