|Joe Hache Opimian Society rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:|
Today is a treat. Although I'm not a fan of oaked Chard's my partner (who is a Sommelier) was along with me today and she rated this wine!
Apart from winning awards (Previous vintages achieved medals in France & New York - this one won Bronze at 2012 Canadian awards) the uniqueness of this wine is that it was made from county grapes and then aged in barrels (for 18 months) that were made here in the county from county oak!
The wine has a light golden wheat color with peach on the nose. It was buttery on the palate with some vanilla and a long fruit finish.
This would pair beautifully with any creamy pasta and Delores wants to take some to Nova Scotia this summer to try it with Maritime lobster!
