Jonata Todos Red Named Varietal Blends-Red 2008

Jonata Todos Red Named Varietal Blends-Red 2008
Jonata Todos Red Named Varietal Blends-Red 2008

Santa Ynez Valley, Santa Barbara, California, United States

Price: $59.95
Sweetness: Extra Dry
Alcohol: 14.7%

Drink: Now

Bottle size: 750 ml
Winery: Jonata

The Wine Sisters reviewed this wine as follows:

One of the more modestly priced wines in the Jonata line up, this Syrah-dominated red is still opulent with red cherry, savoury herbs and ripe blackberry on the nose. Elegant and full bodied on the palate with firm tannin and vibrant acidity look for flavours of sweet red and black berries, spice, and uplifting rosemary/mint/lavender herbs. Made with 67% Syrah, 15% Cab Sauv and a handful of others in small quantities, this isn’t quite as expressive as the Sangre, but it’s also a third of the price. Try it this season with roast rack of lamb or venison stew.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
