Most memorable wine?
Just one? #1 for me definitely is Señorío de San Vicente from Rioja, Spain. Another one I can't forget, as it kept changing with every sip, would be a single vineyard Nebbiolo Marchesi di Gresy Barbaresco Martinenga from Italian Piedmont.

What was your first wine?
After years wasted with anything-sweet-or-spritzer-please, the wine that first woke up my palate was Grüner Veltliner from Czech town Veltlin. That was my AHA moment when it hit me: "Wow, I guess that's how wine really supposes to taste like!"

What’s your most unusual wine experience?
I hope the best is still to come!

Which wine do you love at the moment?
I guess, right now I am obsessed with newly discovered dry Domdechant Werner Riesling Classic from Rheingau, Germany

I sold wine for living for almost a decade and loved it! Imagine getting to taste the best wines from around the world daily! But my spine abruptly stopped this fun ride.
Now I blog about wine, review it, teach about it, create recipes paired with wine, present wine dinners, train restaurant staff –who ever needs me, I am there.

It moved me when I learned that some of my former customers still follow my wine reviews (and advice) to see what to buy for their wine store or restaurant. That kind of trust from professionals isn't something that can be earned easily and it means a lot to me!

I have a huge respect for the wine and all the hard work involved. Let it be $ 8 bottle or $ 100 collectible. Therefore, I only review wines that personally impressed me.
I also learned that most of the time, when I found wine that stood out for me, I discovered that the winemaker behind it was pretty amazing as well.

If you have time and are interested, you can read about some of these unforgettable meetings with wine makers on my blog.

Also, if you are interested to read more about each wine (winery, winemaker, history) - please visit my wine reviews on my website. Each wine gets much more space there to read about the place where it came from.
