Taste of Winterlude will be held from January 28 to February 21 at over 50 restaurants in Ottawa-Gatineau, Ontario. Julia Child Tribute will be held from February 18 to February 18 at 6:30pm at Mission Hill Family Estate in West Kelowna, BC. Chef Batey pays tribute to the legend that introduced "French Cooking to Americans." Through her many different forms of teaching and unabashed style, Julia Child forged and transformed the way a cuisine could be demystified and executed at home. The Ontario Wine Society's Annual Dinner will be held February 24 6:30pm reception, 7:00pm dinner at The Chefs' House, 215 King St. East in Toronto, Ontario. The Chefs' House is in a 3,200 square foot heritage brownstone. The new restaurant serves up one-of-a-kind dining experiences to the city’s food lovers while providing George Brown Chef School students with the latest in real-world culinary training. Founded in 2003 by Harald Thiel and family, Hidden Bench focuses on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling.
