Neot Semadar is host to a boutique winery that produces organic wines from the native grapes. These wines are unique as a result of the grapes being raised under arid desert conditions. Our vineyards are the southern-most in Israel and overall in the northern hemisphere. Surprisingly, it is the harsh desert conditions, like the drastic differences in temperature between day and night, and salty earth, as well as the clean, bio-organic cultivation of the vineyards, that influence and enhance these exceptional wines. Types of grapes grown here include: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Muscat Canneli

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
