Natalie's Score: 90/100

Villa Sparina’s Gavi di Gavi 2023 unfurls an intriguing aromatic profile with lively lemon zest, soft nectarine, and a gentle orchard nuance reminiscent of a classic pome note. These layers are complemented by hints of fresh garden botanicals and a trace of warming spice, all underpinned by a firm, stone-derived structure. On the palate, the wine is buoyant and luminous, evolving gracefully into a sustained finish. It makes an excellent partner for herb-infused roast chicken or a decadent gnocchi with creamy pesto sauce.

Gavi di Gavi food pairings: grilled shrimp, gnocchi with pesto sauce, grilled chicken with herbs.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pretty and fresh, aromas include lemon, white florals, and a touch of mandarin orange. Light bodied on the palate with crisp acidity, along with tart lemon and fresh orange hints, along with a touch of a floral hint and warm spices on the finish. Enjoy with creamy seafood pasta.
