From the Wairau Valley, Marlborough wine region, Villa Maria Reserve 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is produced from sustainably-grown wine grapes. Dry, medium-bodied and vibrant with tropical fruit, wild herbs, lemon-lime zest, concentrated and mouth-filling on the palate. Great value here. Chill and enjoy with grilled shellfish dishes.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: seafood ravioli with Alfredo sauce, pan-fried panfish, lemon and herbed grilled chicken breast.

Reviews and Ratings

Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Very pale straw in colour with a green hue. It has strong aromas of pink grapefruit, passionfruit and herbs. It is medium bodied with mouthwatering acidity and lemon & citrus flavours leading into a medium long citrus finish. This will pair well with green leafy salads, soft white cheeses, seafood and chicken. Tasted on May 20, 2021.
