Triennes Rosé I.G.P. Méditerranée from Provence is a bone-dry, medium-light blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, and Merlot, and one of those rare rosés where the pedigree behind it matches what's in the glass. On the nose it's elegant and fragrant, with dried hibiscus, white nectarine, and a whisper of wild thyme from the garrigue. On the palate it's lithe and bright, with pomegranate, tangerine zest, a thread of crushed stone minerality, and a long, fresh finish with gentle acidity. Domaine de Triennes was founded in 1989 by two of Burgundy's most celebrated names: Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, alongside Parisian Michel Macaux, who together saw the potential of Provence's sun-drenched hills long before the region became fashionable. Serve it well chilled now through 2027. Pour it alongside charcuterie and a warm baguette, where the wine's cool fruit cuts through the salt and fat beautifully, or try it with grilled chicken with herbes de Provence for a Provençal pairing that needs no further explanation.
