Trapiche Reserve Pinot Grigio 2023 is a fresh, crisp white from the high-altitude vineyards along the Mendoza River in Argentina, leaning more toward the drier style of Pinot Gris than the fruitier style of Pinot Grigio. The nose is clean and appealing with lovely floral notes, Asian pear, quince, and a gentle citrus lift that altitude brings to the growing conditions. On the palate it is light to medium bodied with smooth, well-balanced acidity, a soft and approachable texture, and a clean, dry finish that is easy drinking and pleasantly persistent. Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most storied wineries, founded in 1883, making it a name you can trust across generations. Best enjoyed chilled at 8 to 10°C in a white wine glass, it pairs beautifully with fresh seafood and sushi.

Pinot Grigio food pairings: chicken empanadas, grilled white fish with chimichurri, fresh avocado and tomato salad, mild soft cheese with crackers, lemon herb roasted vegetables.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Refreshing and crisp, with aromas of lemon-lime, white florals, and a hint of warm spice. Light bodied with refreshing acidity and crisp citrus on the palate. Sure to be a crowd pleaser. Enjoy with any white fish or shellfish dishes.
