Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

Tasted June 2026 by the strawberry full moon, a spectacular, elegant and sophisticated Blanc de Noir (2023) bubble from Solvero, a light strawberry hue in the glass, fresh with orchard fruit, summer-kissed white florals, delicate citrus aromas, dry and almost ethereal with a whisper of ripe ambrosia apple, pear, lemon zest, toasted almond nut, baked brioche flavours on a delicate mousse, fresh, lifted and creamy on the palate. Incredible balance and finesse on this brut bubble with vibrant acidity, mineral notes and "autolytic richness" textured with an incredibly long citrusy and leesy finish. An absolutely spectacular bubble from Summerland, British Columbia, and, if you are ever in the area, the winery is a "must visit."

Winemaker's Notes: “Pinot Noir from our Happy Valley and Garnet Valley Vineyards were harvested at the end of August to ensure the right balance of sugar and acidity for a Traditional Method Sparkling. The grapes were gently whole-cluster pressed and the free run juice separated to use for this cuvée. The base wine was fermented in an equal mixture of neutral French oak and stainless-steel fermenters. The wine was en-tirage for 20 months prior to disgorging with zero dosage in March 2026."

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
