Wonderfully rich and concentrated red wine, yet savory and mouth-watering too. Full-bodied goodness in this Carmenère without being heavy. Nice balance and length. Offers aromas of black plum, smoke and dark spice on the finish. The Carmenère grape originates from the Bordeaux region of France and was first planted in Chile in the nineteenth century.

Carmenère food pairings: marinated steak, herb-encrusted lamb chops, spicy red meats, dark chocolate, hearty stews.

Pérez Cruz Limited Edition (2015) is a medium-bodied Carmenère from the Maipo Valley. Rich with intense plum, coffee, mocha, green leaf and smoky flavours (from oak treatment). Decant for a couple of hours prior to serving with grilled sausages and root vegetables. - Community Wine Reviews
